New photo covers for Titan Comics' five part comic book event series reveal that the War Doctor will be part of the special summer editions. The character, as portrayed onscreen by John Hurt, was revealed during the 50th anniversary special episode The Day Of The Doctor as a previously unseen incarnation of the Time Lord who refused to take on the name of Doctor following his actions during the Time War. 

Last year, Titan Comics launched new ongoing adventures featuring the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors in brand new stories and meeting new foes and new travelling companions. To mark the end of the first year, all three incarnations of the Time Lord will come together in a special story penned by Doctor Who writer Paul Cornell and illustrated by Neil Edwards. The mini series will be published weekly starting from Wednesday 12th August. John Hurt features on the issue #1 cover, with David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi appearing on subsequent issues.





The e​vent follows straight on from the issue #15 conclusions of Year One, with the second years of the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors beginning after the event's blistering finale!
