WNU Editor: Launching numerous drone strikes and conducting special operations as well as spending hundreds of millions of dollars supporting our allies and friends in Yemen .... the U.S. strategy to combat terrorism has produced the following .... Iran will now have a toehold in Yemen by openly supporting the Houti rebels, and Al Qaeda (with their affiliate groups) will have a safe haven in the predominantly Sunni areas of the country.

And on top of all of that .... the U.S. may have to flee the country (see above video).

What former top Pentagon official David Sedney has to say about all of this sums it up best ....

.... “We’ve mishandled Yemen terribly,” former top Pentagon official David Sedney says. “Al Qaeda is stronger today in Yemen than it was a year ago.” The U.S. anti-terror policy of a “light footprint”—drones, special-ops units and training for local forces—isn’t working there, or in Libya, Somalia or the tribal areas of Pakistan, he says.

Duh!
