Arthur Darvill appeared on Good Morning Britain today to talk about the new series of Broadchurch which begins tonight on ITV. Arthur, who plays the Reverend Paul Coates, returns alongside David Tennant and Olivia Colman and new cast additions including Eve Myles and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Very little is known about the new series, except that it begins shortly after the events which led to the discovery of Danny Latimer's killer and that it will be a very different type of story.

There was very little that Arthur could reveal about the new series and the storyline of the two missing girls mentioned in the trailer was one of the subjects off limits. He could reveal that many of the series one cast would be returning, that the weather had been lovely and filming in Dorset over the summer was the most beautiful setting.

He admits that he hasn't seen the series himself. "The little tiny nuggets I've seen, it looks amazing," he said. "There will be a lot of surprises for people."
