David Tennant's interview on How To Get Ahead In Medieval Court was repeated on BBC Four in the early hours of this morning.
David was interviewed whilst playing the role of Richard II for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Writer, broadcaster and Newsnight arts correspondent Stephen Smith looks back at the Medieval Age to find out what it took to get ahead at the court of Richard II.
