David Tennant plays Sir Walter Scott in The Talisman, the third and final episode of series 3 of drama series The Great Scott. The programme airs for the first time on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday 16th August. 

The Talisman
The 1825 novel was originally set during the Third Crusade in the 12th Century. King Richard the Lionheart is ill and the Christian forces are divided and facing the abandonment of the Crusade. This new adaptation for radio updates the story to 2011, setting it during the Occupy London demonstrations. The Occupiers face the removal of their camp and the prospect of giving up their protest. 

David Tennant narrates the story in the role of Sir Walter Scott. The programme is produced and directed by Clive Brill of Brill Productions for BBC Radio 4.
