The new season of Nickelodeon's hit animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to hit TV screens very soon and will include some big names among the regular voice cast of Seth Green, Rob Paulsen, Sean Astin and Greg Cipes. As we reported back in July, David Tennant will be among them, taking on the role of the Fugitoid, a fugitive android now housing the mind of scientist Professor Honeycutt, whose body has been destroyed.

Rob Paulsen, who voices Donatello, guested on the latest Mr. Media podcast yesterday, hosted by Bob Andelman. He spoke about his various voice roles, which also include work on Pinky And The Brain, Ben 10 and The Fairly OddParents. During the chat Rob also spoke about David's involvement with the latest season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which appears to be more substantial than a one-off guest appearance.

"We've got a 13 story arc with David Tennant who many of your fans know as the tenth Doctor Who. I'm not a big Whovian but I really love him in Broadchurch," he said. "And he is a Turtle fanatic! So folks have a lot to look forward to."

Paulsen also confirmed that the fourth series of Turtles would premiere in the USA in October. The third season of Turtles is just winding down on Nickelodeon in the USA and the fourth is expected to follow very soon after - some unconfirmed sources have suggested as early as October 4th. David's story arc is believed to start from episode 1, Beyond The Known Universe.

At San Diego Comic Con this year fans were treated to a special clip of David as Fugitoid. Watch it here:

Other guests in the new season will include Lucy Lawless, Ron Perlman, Peter Stormare and Zelda Williams.
