Dame Helen Mirren, David Suchet and Benedict Cumberbatch are among new stars announced for Shakespeare Live!
They and Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellan, Joseph Fiennes, Rufus Wainwright, Tim Minchin, Al Murray, Meera Syal, Alison Moyet, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Paapa Essiedu, Pippa Nixon, Alexandra Gilbreath, Noma Dumezweni, The Royal Ballet and The Orchestra of the Swan will join David Tennant, as he hosts the live TV celebration of William Shakespeare from Stratford-upon-Avon's Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The show which takes place Saturday 23rd April, will see HRH Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall among the theatre audience.

Talking about the show David Tennant said: "Shakespeare Live! is a kind of variety bill. We've got some of the greatest classical actors around. Judi Dench will be there, Ian McKellen will be there. Live performance is what Shakespeare is all about. We have opera, we have ballet, we have hip-hop - all celebrating Shakespeare and what he's done for our cultural heritage."

The extravaganza will  be broadcast live on BBC Two and screened live in cinemas across the UK and Europe.
