Filming on the third and final series of Broadchurch is ongoing and today saw David Tennant, Olivia Colman and the cast and crew shooting scenes for the ITV drama in West Bay.

The award-winning crime show is expected to be back on UK screens early next year and will see David and Olivia return to the roles of mismatched cops Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller. The first two series have seen the detectives tracking down the killers of children in two separate heartbreaking crimes. This time they'll be investigating a serious sexual assault in a storyline that has seen Chris Chibnall working closely with specialist police advisors and support organisations who deal with the victims of sexual violence.

The ITV show also sees the return of Jodie Whittaker, Arthur Darvill and Andrew Buchan, who will be joined by new cast members Sir Lenny Henry, Julie Hesmondalgh, Roy Hudd, Charlie Higson, Georgina Campbell and Sarah Parish.
