VIDEO: Bad Samaritan Director On Working With David Tennant: "A Dream Come True"
Yesterday we posted that David Tennant was joining the cast of Bad Samaritan, a new thriller to be directed by Dean Devlin, the producer of such blockbuster movies as Independence Day and Godzilla. Dean, who is a big fan of Doctor Who and also of David's work in Broadchurch and Marvel's Jessica Jones, took time out from his vacation to record a video message to share his elation about the casting news.
In the message, posted via his Facebook page (in two halves due to connection issues), Dean said, "I just can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to get to work with David Tennant. He's one of my favourite actors on the planet."
The movie is centred on two young thieves who set up a car valeting business in order to identify potential burglary victims. However, they target the wrong house and things take a turn for the worse. Dean describes the film, penned by Apt Pupil writer Brandon Boyce, as an exciting, taut thriller, and says that David, who has been critically praised for his performance as the evil Kilgrave in Jessica Jones, is one of the best at playing villains.
"I can't wait to work with David Tennant," he continued. "This is really a dream come true."

Shooting begins on Bad Samaritan later this year around the Pacific Northwest, with a release date yet to be confirmed. The movie will be co-produced and distributed through Devlin's own company Electric Entertainment. There's no more casting news as yet, but we'll update you as soon as we hear anything.
