NEW FILM PROJECT: David Tennant & Krysten Ritter Reunite For Fuddy Meers
David Tennant and Krysten Ritter, who faced off to huge critical acclaim as Kilgrave and Jessica in Marvel's Jessica Jones, will be reunited for a new film project. Based on the play of the same name by David Lindsay-Abaire, Fuddy Meers tells the story of an amnesiac woman called Claire (Krysten Ritter) who is kidnapped by a lisping, limping man, played by David Tennant.
Claire awakes each morning as a blank slate upon which her husband and teenage son must imprint the facts of her life. One day, "the Limping Man" appears an informs her that he is there to rescue her from her husband who is tying to kill her, and abducts her. Fuddy Meers also stars Ellen Burstyn as Claire's mother Gertie, who experiences aphasia following a stroke - the production's title comes from her attempts to say 'funny mirrors'.
The film will be directed by David Petrarca, the director of two episodes of Jessica Jones, who also directed Fuddy Meers on its original off-Broadway premiere in 1999.
Fuddy Meers is scheduled for a cinema release in 2018.
