Explosions at Syrian Military Base Cause 2.6 Magnitude Earthquake




A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded close to Taqsees, Hama, Syria at 10:40 PM local time (3:40 NY time) Sunday, at the same time Syrian TV reported several explosions in the same area.
Moments later, videos of an intense set of explosions, reportedly at a Syrian military base at Jabal al-Bukhut 47, some 10 miles south-east of Hama, began to pop on the social networks. One report cited a hostile strike that targeted an ammunition depots in the Hama area which is one of the depots used mostly by Iran.

Several Syrian military bases have been struck by a missile strike in Hama and Allepo provinces, according to a report by local television.
The Syrian Sana news agency has reported earlier that explosions had been heard near the cities of Hama and Aleppo.
"The arms depot of the 47th brigade of the Syrian army was attacked near Hama. Powerful explosions and major fire have occurred as a result," the source said.

According to Surya TV Channel, the syrian army positions have been attacked by a missile strike. According to the channel, the missile strike was conducted at 19:30 GMT.
Earlier, state television said successive blasts were heard in rural Hama province and that authorities were investigating the cause.









UPDATED 6:01 PM EDT - RUSSIA TO RETALIATE BY FORCE  (SEE BOTTOM) --  at around 3:40 PM Eastern US time, an utterly MASSIVE explosion took place at an Iranian base inside Syria.  The photo above was taken from 5 kilometers (about 3 MILES) away, and well-into the explosion which "seemed to linger."  There are now widespread BUT UNCORROBORATED rumors Israel used a Tactical Nuclear Bomb against the Iranian base. 
The explosion was so intense, it registered as an EARTHQUAKE with the The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which is now reporting a Magnitude 2.6 earthquake at that site! (Link)

Russia and Syria are reviewing radar recordings.  CONFLICTING INFORMATION coming in.   Some reports claim Israeli jets were in the air at the time of the attack.  Other reports say that radar picked-up a total of NINE missiles coming from the south, south of As-Suwayda as shown on the map below:




Other reports claim missiles came fromt he direction of the US Base at Al-Tanf.
