David Tennant has been helping the Oxford Playhouse celebrate their 80th Anniversary in style.
David appeared at the theatre on Sunday evening to mark the milestone anniversary. He joined other stars including Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jeremy Irons and Sinéad Cusack, on stage at the theatre for a one night only revue covering the last 80 years and the story of the venue itself – from its pre-Second World War origins to the present day.
David performed an extract from his award winning Royal Shakespeare Company portrayal of Richard II as well as a reading of D.H.Lawrence's The Oxford Voice and a short appearance in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead for the show.

David has also generously donated a Doctor Who series 3 script signed by himself and co-star Freema Agyeman and a selection of signed DVDs and CDs for the theatre's auction.
