Shooting has begun on David Tennant's latest film project, the Daisy Aitkens' romantic comedy, Fish Without Bicycles.

Daisy tweeted a fab photo from the set earlier today:

Fish Without Bicycles is written and directed by Daisy and produced by Bad Penny Productions. It tells the story of two women’s differing experiences with pregnancy. One is a 40-year-old magistrate, the other a carefree party girl. The twist is that they are in a relationship with each other.

David will be taking on the role of the couple’s neighbour John, an obnoxious Scot, who is responsible for one of the pregnancies.
Talking of the project he said: "Daisy Aitkens has written a brilliant, funny, surprising and moving script and I am delighted that she has asked me to be in her first feature - as she is clearly going to be making many many more and I want to be in all of them. And I am very pleased to be working with Bad Penny again, a company that represents all that is good and exciting in young British filmmaking."

The film will be a family affair with David's wife Georgia Tennant acting as a producer alongside Mad To Be Normal's Phin Glynn and Harriet Hammond and Georgia's father Peter Davison also on the cast.

Other confirmed cast include Lucy Punch, Faye Marsay, Nina Sosanya, Ingrid Oliver, Gemma Jones, John Nettles and Lucy Glynn.

Official Film Synopsis:
