UK - BROADCHURCH: Go Back To Where It All Began With ITV Encore
Satellite channel ITV Encore are giving Sky subscribers in the UK the opportunity to go back to the beginning and catch up with award-winning crime drama Broadchurch ahead of the much antipated launch of Series 3. The channel will be airing Series one, two episodes per week, on Sunday nights starting from 8th January at 10.00pm GMT.
Broadchurch Series 1 sees the arrival of troubled cop Alec Hardy (David Tennant) in the eponymous small coastal town, stepping into the Detective Inspector role that his local colleague Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) had assumed was hers. The pair have to put their differences aside rapidly, however, when the body of a local boy is found on the beach and a murder investigation is opened. Hardy and Miller need to find the killer before the close-knit community, now under national media scrutiny, tears itself apart through fear, paranoia and suspicion. The series also stars Arthur Darvill, Andrew Buchan, Jodie Whittaker and David Bradley, and was created by new Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall.
Although not yet confirmed, ITV Encore are likely to follow Series 1 with a repeat of Series 2 in the same timeslot. The reruns would then finish at the end of February, just ahead of the probable start of Series 3 on ITV during the week commencing 27th February.
ITV Encore is available on Channel 123 to Sky TV subscribers in the UK. It is also available through Sky Go and Now TV.
